Whitworth University

Dining Services Assessment

Whitworth University (Spokane, WA) has used the same dining services contractor for almost 60 years.  SSG was retained Fall 2018 to conduct an extensive student needs assessment, and a complete financial and contract review.  In addition, Whitworth is considering a new building on the entrance of campus to relocate their bookstore and spirit merchandise store.  A franchised coffee/bakery concept is also being considered in the new building.  SSG provided some strategic guidance on the new building and will continue to be consulted as the project progresses.  The project wa completed on time and on budget.

Wilmington College

Housekeeping Assessment

Wilmington College retained SSG to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the campus housekeeping department.  SSG toured the entire campus and observed the housekeeping staff performing their daily duties. The current contract and operating statements were reviewed and benchmarked against APPA standards.  A total campus building inventory was completed and theoretical staffing models developed, based on APPA standards.  Meetings were held with over 30 administrators, faculty, and staff...as well as over 20 students.  The project was successfully completed in November 2013.

Dining Services Assessment

Wilmington College (Wilmington, OH) retained Support Service Group, LLC to assess their long-term contractor’s ability to improve student satisfaction, within existing budgetary parameters. SSG conducted a dining services needs assessment. A program improvement plan was developed to improve student satisfaction, coupled with a major contractor commitment of capital to provide resident dining and retail facility improvements. A new five-year contract was negotiated with the existing contractor.

Annual Retainer

As a result of the successful dining services assessment project, Wilmington College elected to enter into an annual retainer program with Support Service Group, LLC to monitor the plan implementation. Wilmington College has elected to renew the annual retainer agreement through the 2007-2008 academic year.

Custodial Contract Negotiations

Wilmington College retained SSG to negotiate a new custodial contract in 2008.  Historically, Wilmington self-operated their custodial services, but elected to pursue contract services.  SSG complete the contract negotiation on schedule and the contracted program was successfully implemented.

Winston Salem State University

                    

Dining Services Assessment

Winston Salem State University (Winston-Salem, NC) has used the same dining services contractor for over 10 years. In 2011, Support Service Group, LLC was retained to conduct a comprehensive dining services assessment.  SSG conducted an extensive student needs assessment, an operational efficiency assessment, and complete financial and contract reviews.  The project was completed ahead of schedule and on budget.

 

Dining RFP Process

As a result of the successful assessment process, Winston Salem State University (Winston-Salem, NC) retained SSG to manage a dining RFP process.  The project was completed on time and on budget in 2012.

Wofford College

Dining Services Assessment

Wofford College (Spartanburg, SC) retained Support Service Group, LLC to evaluate the planned retail space in the new housing village and make recommendations for additional retail dining venues. Additionally, SSG assessed the Wofford long-term contractor’s ability to improve student satisfaction, within existing budgetary parameters. SSG conducted a dining services needs assessment. A program improvement plan was developed to improve student satisfaction, coupled with the recommended contract renegotiation strategy.

Xavier University

 

Dining Services Assessment

Xavier University (Cincinnati, OH) retained Support Service Group, LLC to assess their dining services program and make recommendations regarding a dining services RFP to be issued in January 2008. The assessment was completed on time and on budget.

RFP Management

Xavier retained SSG to assist with the RFP process to include RFP development, campus tours, proposal evaluations, and final contract review.  The RFP process was completed on time and on budget.

Operational and Contract Assessment

Xavier University retained Support Service Group, LLC to conduct an operational and contract assessment in the Fall of 2011.  As a result of a Dining RFP process in 2008, Xavier changed contractors. Subsequently, Xavier added a new student residence facility and state of the art replacement dining venue.  With the increased resident student population and new dining venue, the University elected to conduct an independant review of the overall campus dining program and contractual arrangement.  The project was completed in 2012, on schedule and under budget.

Young Harris College

        

Dining Services RFP Management

Young Harris College (Young Harris, GA) had used the same dining services contractor for over 40 years.  With changes in Administration, the College elected to review their long term contract and seek competitive bids. Support Service Group, LLC was retained to develop a Dining Services RFP and manage the contractor selection process.  The RFP process was completed on time and on budget and new contractor was chosen to provide service in July 2010.
