RFP Development and Process Management

Vermont State Colleges (Waterbury, VT) retained Support Service Group, LLC in 2011 to manage a dining services RFP process.  VSC has used the same contractor for 20 years to serve it's four residential campuses across the state.  Castleton State, Johnson State, Lyndon State, and Vermont Tech are all currently served under a system-wide master contract.  The project includes dining needs assessments at all four individual campuses and an evaluation of self-operation for one campus.  The RFP was developed in the Fall of 2011 and the new contract will be awarded to begin service on July 1, 2012.
SSG completed the data collection process and individual campus needs assessments as part of the RFP development process.  The combined RFP document was completed on schedule and was distributed electronically to all qualified prospective contractors.  Support Service Group, LLC managed the entire contractor selection process, resulting in a change to a new contractor effective July 1, 2012.  The entire project was completed on schedule and under budget.
