Owen holds a BBA from the University of Kentucky and an MBA from Mississippi College. Now retired, Owen remains a trusted advisor to David, offering guidance on select client challenges.

Our Mission

At Support Services Group (SSG), our mission is to help colleges and universities strengthen their dining programs through expert contract management, RFP consulting, and strategic operational guidance. We are dedicated to simplifying complex processes, improving efficiency, and delivering customized solutions that enhance student satisfaction, financial performance, and long-term institutional success.

Our Approach

At Support Services Group (SSG), every project is led by one of our Principals—and often both are directly involved. With David and Owen as the only full-time employees of SSG, our clients benefit from hands-on leadership and focused expertise without the burden of unnecessary overhead costs. You pay only for the professionals actively working on your project.

Most projects are successfully completed from start to finish by the Principals alone. When specialized expertise is required, SSG engages trusted per diem professionals from our extensive network. In the past, these experts have supported areas such as marketing, survey development, dining operations, facilities management, energy management, athletic field turf, and bookstore operations.

This flexible model ensures that you receive exactly the technical expertise your project requires—no more, no less—and only for the time directly dedicated to your success.
